A golf course which has been set like a diamond between the Apuan Alps and the sea, designed by the famous Venetian architect Marco Croze and reviewed by the champion Jose Maria Olazabal. The Versilia Golf Club is a luxuriant island that is divided between the municipalities of Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi and Montignoso.
It is one of the most playable golf courses in Tuscany where the fairway always leads you to the green and the rough is rarely so tough.
It is 5,873 metres long and par 71 always allows you to play on the fairways without ever having to skip excessively insidious obstacles even if water is present on a good 12 holes.
There are rare occasions where, thanks to some tips made in person by Jose' Maria Olazabal that have given this golf course some fantastic shots making the beauty of this location complete and giving this champion the technical value that is worthy of respect. Hole 13 is the Spanish champion's signature hole where the tee-off must be precisely between two water obstacles in an area of the fairway that is relatively narrow.
The first 9 holes are wider while the second 9 open out into thicker vegetation; therefore the game is varied and never boring.
The Club House directly overlooks the arrival point of holes 9 and 18 and it is one of the most hospitable club houses that you can find in Tuscany as well as the splendid view of the Apuan Alps give you an unique panorama of its kind guaranteeing you a day's relax together with some good golf in the perfect life-style of the nearby Forte dei Marmi.
